Where the Piece Began

It was the summer of 2012 in a small town outside the Sacramento area when an engineering graduate had a dream to start an online blog all about jigsaw puzzles. Finally the ball got rolling the following year officially opening puzzlenerd.com.  It wasn't exactly what was intended but worked for the time being.  It thrived for about 5 months and then suddenly stopped when moving to a different city and other life changes. Even though there was no new content on the blog for years, the engineer kept this dream in mind to someday fulfill it.
Hi, I’m Jonathan (aka "The Puzzle Nerd"), a high school teacher/engineer and am so excited to share with you this long dream of mine to be a part of a company all about puzzles.  I love puzzles. I have been putting puzzles together for as long as I can remember. My parents told me at a young age I had a gift for problem solving. I could put together 300 piece puzzles by the age of five, 500 pieces by seven and 1000 by the age of ten.  Now I have ventured into 5000+ piece puzzles and a whole assortment of puzzle like games, i.e. 3D puzzles, Rubik's cubes and more. I was formally a structural engineer for over a decade solving problems every day.  So whether I was at work or at home, there was always some puzzle I was working on. Over all, with these skills and vocation, puzzles have always been a huge passion and come with ease to me.
Finally my break came in the summer of 2020, setting up a room designated only for puzzles.  Months have gone by, and with hard work and patience, Pieceful Puzzle was created.  The name was chosen to promote peace in the world.  Faith, Hope, and Love is what this company is founded on and we hope to share love and peace through faith to everyone.
